Dear Shawn,

Why won't people subscribe to the stories, such as Heart's Destiny or War Games? Don't they realize they'll get notices of new posts straight to their inbox, and never miss a post again? They can stay on top of things so much easier.... It's just that little bookmark button on the bottom, it's so easy.

Megolon The Slave,

It would be easy to say that they don't know about them, too easy! Therefore it must not be true. They fear it! Like a cockroach to the sunlight of forum education!

Line the button with foods and mark it as "OMG GOODIES". It'll work. I used it on a rabbit once. The fuzzy DEMON fell right for it and we roasted it for dinner and left the skull at the edge of camp as a warning to all other rabbits. Not that you'll want to do this to the subscribers (that's what you'll tell them at least).

Best of luck,
-Shawn

Dear hungry for rabbit,

Ye should certainly shove a stick through its body and slowly rotate it over a fire, letting its juices boil around inside. Don't skin it first, the initial fire will smell horrible but it seals in all of the evil vileness and bakes it to death.

Before you eat it, you should smash it with a rock one more time for good measure. Such is the evil of long eared rodents.

Enjoy your meal,
-Shawn

Dear Shawn,

So which enemy would be the most fearsome, and how would you take them out?

A raging, ferocious fire-breathing dragon whose young you just killed, cooked, and ate for dinner...

A pod of rabbits...

Or a legion of zombies armed to the teeth and hungry for braaaaaaains?

Dear Curious,

One man's dragon is another man's vile rodent - I would rate no threat more than another and all evil must be vanquished in the pursuit of beer nuts and and a good ale-ing.

Therefore I shall handle each of these senarios:

The fire breathing bitter dragon parent would no doubt need counciling for having such a wreckless youth deserving of a good ol fashioned slaying. I would give it a phone number I know. If all else fails I'll invest in more flour and a pan or two and bring it back to its senses.

A pod of rabbits would be fierce aplenty. I would dig a pit trap, covering the entire thing with vegetables soaked in the blood of my enemies - to draw them in. I would then trap them all in the pit and unload Charles' many brothers and sisters upon them. They would be honored. Or, I would recruit said upset dragon from above and give it some semblance of venting..... I fear this would cost me many coins however.... and possibly a good suit of armor.

As far as the zombies...... I'd get a thicker helmet and put Rolly out front. He's good at that sort of thing, though he'd never admit it. In fact he would deny the whole thing, but it would only be an act. While he unloads his fury upon them I'd be in the tavern.

I do believe the fiercest of all of these would be the parental woes dragon, as they tend to not be too interested in listening when you deep fry their children. The vile rabbits coming in at a close second. The zombies would be amusing, but this is why I wear armor.... lets see their teeth go through a thick plate of holy goodness.

Greetings Dragonsdale,

Joining the Knighthood is like your first battle - it's easier than it looks if you've made the right preparations.

You should go to this posting: http://night.proboards4.com/index.cgi?bo....&n=1&thread=146

I'll summarize what you'll find there - though you'll still want to give it a good read. Basically it states that we have two open stories at this time, one is Hearts Rebirth, and one is War Games. The one with the biggest attention at this time is Hearts Rebirth, mostly because we've put more time into its previous story - there's a bit more love placed into it at this point.

So at that point you would decide to make a character for whichever story you wish to join, you're welcome in either or both - as you see fit. You'd create a character scroll (a guide is found here: http://night.proboards4.com/index.cgi?bo....n=1&thread=210) which is a fairly easy form to fill out so that we all understand your character a bit so that when characters interact we all know how to describe the other person, understand their personality a bit, and so on. It's a fine way to get to know other characters outside of reading their posts in the role play topics.

Beyond that, you should go introduce yourself, the talk shanty up top of the forum is a great place to hang out, and if you ever have questions, feel free to ask us.

So you should go check out those topics, maybe wander around and get a taste for the writing, ask questions as you see fit, and overall just have a dandy good time.

Welcome aboard!
-Shawn
